We quote the following prices:—Cows and calves, £3, £4 35.,' to £5 10a.; heifers and calves, £3 195.,. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., Wa-nsanui, report:—At our sa'le on Wednesday wo had . a, full yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. The demand a.ll round waa < dull, and liog-gets showed a docreaso in price on recent q>notations. Wo quote:— Fat wethers, £1 4s. 9d. to £1 6s. 9d.; fat ewes, £1 3s. 6d.; forward two-tooth wethers, £1 Os. Bd.; first-class wether hoggets, 18s. Vd.; mixed hoggets, 145.. 9d.. 165., to 17a; ewe hoggete, 14e. 9d.; 6mall hoggets,- ss. 6d. to lis.; fat cows, £7 135.; etoro cows. £3 Bs.; t weamers, £1 10s.; dairy cows, £6 ss. to SZ. | Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Palmorston, on Thursday, only a small ya/nling of sheep came forward, ( which sold at tho following prices:—Ewes 1 in lamb, 215.; medium hoggets, 125.; black- ] faced hoggets, lis. 4d. An entry of 340 ! fomrr-year bullocks was also offered, the Herefcfd cross bullocks realising £8 7s. 1 6a., and tlio Shorthorns £7 10s. to £7'. 13s. 1 Store cow£ made £2 to £3: forward cows, 1 £4 Is.; hoifers in calf, £3 7s. to £4 7e. 6d.; r \ weaner hoifers, £3.' v The New Zealand Loan -and Mercantile Agency- Co., Ltd., report:—At Palmerston North, on Thursday, wo had a email entry of sheep and a medium yardinj* of cattle, which realised the following prices:— Sheep: Fat wethors, 245. 3d.; medium hoggets, 13s. Id.; rams. 16s. 6d.
