SCIENCE AND ART BILL.
THE FEELING IN DUNEDIN. (By l'olegraph.—Prces Association.) Dunedln, September 5. Exception is taken locally to the proposal contained in the Science and Art Bill now before Parliament that money should bo appropriated by Parliament for the erection in Wellington of a Dominion Art Gallery. To-day Mr.' A. Bathgato (presjdent of the Dunediti Public Art Gallery) and Mr. G. Joachim . (president of the Otago Art Society) forwarded to the Hon. AV. F. Massey and the Minister in charge of tho Bill and each of tho Otago members a telegram of protest, objecting against tho exclusion of other art galleries in Dunedin, Christchurcb, and Auckland. It 1 is submitted that all grants voted by Parliament for tho encouragement of art should ho equally divided between tho four principal art galleries of the Dominion. ' ■ Auckland, September 5.
