During tho e " course of a comprehensive survov of tho famous struggle between the North mid South, ho described in detail the B " principal engagements up to tho dccis--19 lve battle of Gettysburg,' and treated 'd 1 of the strategical aspect of tho various actions. In reviewing the campaign the '• speaker pointed out that olio of the conspicuous lessons ol' the war was tho value of preparedness.
