CYCLING & ATHLETIC CLUB.
A deputation from the Cycling-Ath-letic. Club waited on tho City Council last nliight asking for hotter terms for tho hire of the Basin Reserve for a sports meeting on November 1. Mr. D. Moriarty said that tho council asked 20 per cent. ,of tho gross gato takings. The cluib, suggested £5 and per cftnt: of tho gate. Tho council will oonsider the matter.
