Mr. Walter Monk, recently manager of tho Star PictureTheatro, New-town, "returned from a visit to Australia, w'hero ho was successful in forming a vaudeville company, which,,will commence a week's season at tho Opera Houso on September 17. Mr. Monk was successful in securing. the services of tlio King's College Boys, tho renowned chorister boys, who aro said, to harmonise most tunefully; tho Vienna Trio of Musicians, which includes a distinguished harpist; Mdllo. Marvellono Boulais, vocalist; Miss lona Augusto, tho mimio and comedienne; Jack Shields, comedian ; Philip Leivis, baritono; and Ruby M'Donald, musical directress. KELBURNE SCOUTS' CONCERT. Last evening tlio Kelburno Scouts' Clubroom was well filled, the occasion being a concert in aid of tho troops' funds. In addition to an excellent programme given by tho scouts, the follo'ijng contributed itemsM-rs. Tate, Miss Thyra Baldwin, Miss Rose Dodds, Mr. AY. It. Church, Mr. ].'. V. Dodds, Mr. W. H. Cooper, Mr. Gerald Bell, and Mr. R. Digbv. Tho accompnniraejits were played by Miss Roso Dodds. So successful was the affair that it is Intended to, hold a sories of similar concerts at suitable intervals. SUNDAY CONCERT. At His Majesty's Theatro on Sunday next, September 7, commencing at 8.30, thu Wellington Professional Orchestra will give another of their popular con-coi-ts.
