| r (By Telcfrropli—Pr«!3 Association.) s . Invercarglll, September 2. is A fatal accident occurred at tlio Bluff 0 to-day, resulting in tlio death of J. AV. n King, aged 50, stevedore for tlio Now Zealand Shipping Company. A truck tj was being shunted into the company's - siding, and deceased attempted to apd ply tlio brakes. He slipped, and was dragged along by the axle-box, austaino ing a compound fracture of the right leg, and a fracture of the left leg. Ho n was removed to tlio Southland Hospital, where he died some hours later. Ho * loaves a widow and a family of six.
