The annual report of tho Southland Fanners' Co-operative Association shows that tho loss for tho year: totalled £3396, mainlv duo to tlio Goro floods. In order to place affairs on a satisfactory basis it is proposed to write oft £841 for depreciation and £2171 tor bad debts, which, owing to tlio unfavourable season, have been exceptionally heavy. "Accumulated losses stand at £15 140 and the direction' strongly recommend that steps bo taken to wipe thoso off b.y writing down the paid-up ordinary capital, and to allow tlio' association to make a fresh start.
