BELL said that in most hospitals the eight-Jhours' day for nurses was in force, that proposals for increasing the, pay of hospital nurses and also' a schemo of superannuation iwero under consideration, but this latter was an exceedingly difficult business owing .fact that nurses . continually ' left hospitals to gain wider experience iii:their profession.
