Information to be i'lirniished eiither to Messrs. Pricc and Gibbs, as above; Messrs. Lewis and Lewis, 'solicitors, of Ely Place, Holborn, London; or au.f police office. ' | The feeling among persons financially i affected by tho theft is that the necklace robber}' was committed after the package was accepted by the French Post Office. Jl. .Salomon's staff in Paris is an exceedingly small one on which complete rriianca is placed-. Shrewd persons, ' therefore, are now not indisposed to seek the beginning of a plot over four years ago —in the French Postal Strike, it will lie remembered that between. 700 and 800 employees were then suspended and that over 200 of tho strikers we.re dismissed. That occasion would eeem to have been the opportunity of a lifetimo for the man who works by stealth. It is understood that all sorts -and conditions of men were then enrolled in the service of tho State and there is an impression that tho swris may then have been sown, of n planit which has only lately been appearing.
