BOOKBINDERS SOCIETY.
At the Oddfellows' Hall on Wednesday evening , tlie Bookbinders' and J'appr-rulers' Society held its twentyfourth annual meeting. The report and balance-sheet, which disclosed a satisfactory state of affairs was adopted. Complimentary references were made to the services rendered by the retiring president- (Mr. Win. to») who had held olTice for the past 18 years, and it was decided to suitably recognise his work. Officers were elected for the ensuing year as follow:— President, Mr. E. Wiffin ; secretary, Mr. W. Burns; treasurer, Mr. A. Burnett; council, Messrs. Weitzel; Carr, and Howes; trustees, Messrs. Vea.r and White; delegates to' Trades Council, Messrs. Naughton and M'Hutehisou.
