The Associated Chambers of Commerce of the Commonwealth have received a communication from Mr. Agar Wynne, Federal Postmaster-General, regarding a State-owned cable from Canada to England. The latest, reply from tho Imperial Government, says Mr. Wynne, is that tho time is inopportuno for tho expenditure of large amounts in laying State cables.
