COLLEGIANS TAKE A HAND.' In emulation of the Beautifying Societies, the students at' the Victoria College have during the past winter been busily, engaged on Saturday afternoons in tree-planting, the trees and shrubs having been supplied by the Government and tho City Council. Th 6 work iias at times been very arduous, clay and rock 'having t-o be excavated and the holes thus made to bo refilled with soil. Collego professors, lecturers, and students have worked together on a definite scheme, which is to be continued during next winter,, and tho results, in years to! come will bo most satisfactory-. ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES. BULLET EXTRACTED. Charles F. Page, who was admitted to the Public Hospital recently, suffering from a bullet-wound in his head, was operated on by tho hospital surgeons, yesterday morning, and tho bullet was extracted. The patient is recovering.
