rSpocially Written for The Dominion.] FRIDAY. Haricot Soup. Pickled Pork. Potatoes. Caulillowor. Apple Meringue. Three-quarters of a pound of apples, jib. stoned dates, half a cup of water, a little sugar (according to apples), short pastry. Peel and core tho apples, cut the dates up small, and put over the fire with the sugar and water; stew carefully, as they will burn very easily with so little water. When done, turn oil to a plate to cool. AVhile tho apples aro cooking, make half nico short pastry, roll out, and fit on to a tart plate; put an extra ring round.
