STEADY RECRUITING

August 2", 10>50 p.m.) London, August 27. The membership of the Ulster Volunteer Force is being steadily recruited throughout tho province. The General Staff, or Advisory Board, is constantly in touch with tho various units. The rifle clubs in Ulster have applied for a renewal of their affiliation with t'lfo Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs, but Lord Aberdeen has expressed tho Irish Government's regret that it is unable, in the existing circumstances, to apr prove of such affiliation. LONDONDERRY POLICE. (Rec. August 27, 10.50 p.m.) London, August 27. The Viceroy of Ireland (tho Earl of Aberdeen) has refused to grant, without Parliamentary authority, a sworn inquiry into the conduct of the police at the Londonderry riots.
