MR. WADE'S CENSURE. MOTION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrieht (Rec. August 27, 0.10 a.m.) Sydney, August 26. In the Legislative Assembly to-day, Mr. Wade, Leader of tho Opposition, moved a censure motion with referenco to tho Norton-Griffiths agreement in connection with railway construction, details of which were cabled on Thursday last. He contended that this struck a. vital blow at tho declared financial policy of tho party in power. The Government had failed to supply tho Houso with • details of the firm's business reputation and ability to carry out its contract, or that proper safeguards had been adopted. Sir. Wade also generally criticised the' Government's works policy.
Mr. Griffiths, in tho absence of Mr. Hnlman in Melbourne, replied in defence of the Government's contract- and works policy.
