Even since General Hertzog was excluded from tho Union Cabinet his quarrel with General Botha haß increased in bitterness, and now threatens a crisis. General Hertzog's bid for tho labour support was followed .by his demand to be allowed to appear at General Botha's meeting at Rustonburg. on August 26, and speak after the Premier. General Botha declines to take part in such an undignified spectacle. General Hertzog, speaking at Johannesburg, on Friday last, reasserted that Imperialism was only good for Africa w J hon it did not conflict with interests.. Mr. H. C. Hull, also an cx-Minister, speaking at tho same place, declared that the toast of "Tho King" was threadbare, and was no longer dTunk when the toast of "South Africa" was drunk.
