BIG FIRE NEAR SYDNEY.
.DAMAGE OVER £20,000. By Telejrroph—Press Aef?o.ciation—Copyright (Rec. August 24, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, August 23. A fire destroyed a large portion of the works of Ritchio Bros., railway roll-ing-stock manufacturers, at Auburti, eleven miles from Sydney. Six nowlycompleted railway carriages wero also destroyed. Tho damago is estimated at over £20,000. LATER ESTIMATE OF DAMAGE. (R«c. August 25, 0.20 a.m.) Sydney, August 24. 'A' later estimate of the : damago at Ritchie Bros', premises places it at £35,000. ' Eiglifc carriages were destroyed.
