EXAMINATION RESULTS.
LIST OF HONOURS,
The results of the annual examination of scholars in schools connected with the Wellington Sunday School Union appear below. .The examiners were: Mesdames A. R. Atkinson and T. H. Gill, Misses Helyer and 0. E. Kirk, and Mr. T. H. Gill, M.A., LL.B., There were 570 candidates from 57 schools. Tho scholars wero divided into'five grades, according to ages. Those gaining 75 marks or ovor win prizes and first-olass certificates; those gaining 60 and under 75 win second-class certificates; and those above 40 and under 60 marks a third-class certificate. .Only. 61 of tho 570 scholars failed to gain a pass. This -' is tho best in tho history of the union. Thero would havei been a much larger numor of candidates had it not been that' some of the largest schools aro using the'new graded lessons. "It is pos- . sible that next year the union will be in a position to set questions for both the international and graded lessons. His Excellency the Governor, Lord Liverpool, will present the prizes at a meeting to be held in Wesley Hall on Friday, September 12. Lady Liverpool has signified her intention of being present at tho prize distribution.
