Stewed Celery. Paradise Pudding. Lemon Sauoo, FOB SUPPER. Cold Koaet Beef. Salad. Rhubarb Pio, Boiled Custard. APPLE SHORTCAKE. Ono pound flour, Jib. butter, tfcreo tablespoonfuls sugar, tiro aggs, ono teaspoonful baking powder, abouit fouvtablespoonfuls jniLk. Bub th© butter into the flour, add all tlio dry ingredients. Beat tlio' eggs with tlio milk, and mix all to ft rather soft paste. Divide in half, roll out; liavo tlio two li&lvfls as mucli as possiblo tho 6am© shape ami thickness. Put 0110 half 011 a greased baking-tin. Cover witii applea thinly sliood, and sprinMo a littlo sugar over. Take tho other half of the paste and cover the apples. Pinch tlio edges together, and bake in a moderate oven. When dome sprinkle with, icing 6ug,u> and seirve out in fingers.
