i An interesting display in first-aid-am-fbulanoe work was given last evening in Jones's Central Hall, Petono, by members of the Wellington Centre and Petono lAmbiilance Corps. .Mrs. Fisher (hon. nursing sisber for tho "Wellington Centre), and Mrs. Foster (lady superintendent of tho Potono branch) .wero present and explained the "modus operandi. A vote of thanks was accorded the visitors. It was i announced that a ladies' class was being formed aad several names were hand'ed in. It is understood that Dr. Miroma : will be the lecturer for this class. A oommittee of ladies gave a successful Vlance in tho Orange Hall, Petone, last Wening. There was a good attendance, i Mr. Forsyth was M.C., and Miss PomIfrey supplied tho musio. , A well attended conoert was held in TWesley Church, Petone, last evening, tho proceeds boin;' ill aifloi tho choir and trust fuiids.''Tho : 'Eov. ,i ;J , .'' l 'J. il Lewis i was chairman. Those contributing fo 'the programme. were tho ' Misses Foster, Shearer, M'Ewen, Kirk, and Lewis, Messrs, 'Chamberlain, Ackroyd, Bryant, Clau'son,' Heppleston, Maud, and the choir. Miss V. J.
