(By Taleer&Dh.—Frees Aesoofatton.) Gore, August 22. Robert Duncan, a single man, aged 34 years, was found shot in the forehead on Hie bank of the Mataura River, at Mataura, this morning. A discharged rifle was nt his feet. Ho had beon complaining of feeling unwell latel}-. ' , THREE CITY INQUESTS. Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., held three inquests yesterday. Respecting tlio death of Violet Rose Campbell, who died as tho result of shock from burns, tho verdict was that death .was duo to shock caused by severo burns, brought about by deceased's clothing being on fire; whether accidentally or by deceased's action ovidenco did not sufficiently disclose. In the' case of Edward Joseph Warren, who was found with his throat cut, a verdict, of suicide whilo of unsound inind was returned. James Hutton lOidd was found to havo died of heart failure.
