Even in the event of his agreeing at tho eleventh hour, seven days will liave to olupse beforo lie can enter Melbourne, and probably by thattimo tho debate will be over. With Mr. Webster absent, and tlio Opposition voting full strength, it will requiro the casting vote of the Speaker to save the Government from defeat.
