ST JAMES'S CHURCH.
The annual meeting of St. James's Presbyterian Church was held in St. James's Hall on Wednosday ovening, tho Rev. W. Sliirer presiding over a large attendance. The report, a precis of which appeared in The Dominion of Wednesday, was adopted. Messrs. Grant, Brooker, Johnstone, Paterson, Richmond, M'Lay, and Potter addressed the meeting, and Mr. Allender 'ni,ovod a motion expressing appreciation of 'tho work done by the Rev. W. Sliirer and Mrs. Shirer, which motion was earned unanimously. Mt. Shirer briefly thanked those present for their expression of confidence in him and his wife, and thanked those who, by their help, had assisted him. A new organ is to bo procured for the Young Men's Biblo Class, and other improvements are in prospect. The ladies' sewing bee will hold their annual sale ol' work in September, and her Excellency the Countess of Liverpool has kindly oousentcd to open tho proceedings.
