PENSION PAYMENTS.
Questioned in the House of Representatives yesterday, the Hon. I:\ 51. li. FNior said that he could not see his way to agree that oil ponsion payments should 1» posted by cheque. Several members UTgsd the .Minister to {reconsider, .his decision. Mr. Bradney said that lie knew of .a pensioner who walked fifteen miles once a month to collect 'his pension. The Minister agreed that this was unreasonable, and suggested that it might be possible to fix a distance limit beyond which pensions would bo paid'by p;«t.
