RIVER STEAMER DISASTER.
CREW CAUGHT IN A TRAP,
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. August 20. 10.30 p.m.) New York, August 20. A message from Keokuk (Iowa) reports that tho river steamer Henry Bosse turned turtle in the Mississippi. Fourteen of the crew wore imprisoned below tho -waterline. Their fate is unknown. A heavy storm was raging at tho time. Seven of the passengers cscaned death, while seven wero caught in. tho cabin and drowned like rats. The captain flung himself into the river when the deckhouse parted. As the vessel capsized, a man and a woman released themselves from under a boat and reached the surface, but were both drowned before the rescuing boats arrived.
