"WALKED INTO A TRAIN." WOMAN FATALLY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Oamaru, August 20. A fatality occurred at a Igtol crossing near the town this evening, when, Miss Annio Perks, employed at the Boys High School, walkod into the .incoming express train, and was so badly injured that she died soon after. She was affhelod by deafness, and did net hear the whlKtlo or the shouts of two boys w.hio saw li.er walking towards the approaching train. The driver had not time to pujl up tho train. Some time as*> an old man. was killed at tlio sain# crossing. . MOULDER HANGS HIMSELF. Christchurch, August 20. William David Smith, about 34 years of age a moulder at Addington workshops, was found hanging in tho wastohouso of his houso at Sydenham to-night. His wife obtained a separation order from 'him on Tuesday. FRACTURED ANKLE. A man named Win. Mann slipped and fell in Manners Street last evening, and fractured his left ankle. Ho was removed to tho Hospital at 8 o'clock.
