Davis, commander of Dr. Maroon's ship Aurora, lias arrived at Fremantle by tho Orontes. In tho courso of an interview, Captain Davis said, that provided tho Victorian Government kept its promiso to dock tho Aurora, ho would bring the vessel to Melbourne, and if funds wore forthcoming ho would sail for Adelio Land in November, and hoped to reaoh Dr. Mawson's base in Decbmbor. Ho collected JE3OOO in England, 'out of .£IO,OOO required, and this amount was neoded, firstly, for fitting out tho Aurora, but mainly for publishing tho investigof
