WESTPORT HARBOUR COMMISSION,
"Tho matter is still in the air," said the Hon. F. M. B. Nsher in reply to a query last night as to whether the comliiissioi) to inquire into the affairs of the Westport Harbour Board was any nearer to being set up. The Minister has stated previously that ho has eskod _ certain gentlemen to act on tho commission, but that ho is not yet in a position to announce tlio names of those who will act. It is rumoured that t'hero will bo throa members, and that Mr, J. S. Evaais, ft.M. at Nelson, will be secivred as chairman if possible. '
