Davis, chairman of directors of the lfoss Goldficlds, Ltd.,' visited the mine at lloss 011 Suturday, and returned to llokitika 011 Sunday. On his return ho fitated to an inttu'viower that he .was highly ploascd with the possibilities, n.iul ground which had been located in the north and south limits of the Cassias workings, the testing of a number of the faces being very satisfactory. Mr. Davis declared that thero was very little danger of stoppage*, the plant and equipment being in better order than over before in the history of the mines. He had been assured,by tho manager that, the plant and tho present shaft were in every way adequate to work tile property to advantage. mining operations are to be commenced in tho very near future, declared Mr. Davis, who stated that it was necessary to do a. little more development work' so a-s tn otivuro tho ultimate successful working of tho mlno.
