(By Telesrraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, August 17. At the Juvenile Court on Saturday, Mr. W. A. Stout addressed Mr. G. Cruickshanks, S'.M., in the charge preferred against Arthur James Simpson, of stabbing Robert James Blackmore, with a knife 011 July 20. Counsel said there was no direct proof as to how ths stabbin" took place. No one saw the affair—no? even the victim. It was absolutely certain that there was no deliberation on the part of the accused, and no preparation. No ill-feeling existed, and there was no motive. Counsel said the youth of accused hnd also to be taken into consideration. At the time of'tlic occurrence Blackmore, according to one witness, had said it was an accident. His Worship said he agreed with Mr. Stout on most of his points, and dismissed the .case.
