Mr. Lloyd-George, in a speedh delivered at Dulwich in July, is uttorly unsuited for' peasant proprietorship. There is an alternative punphaser to the peasant, and he hopes that before finally deciding the question of 'purchase statesmen will carefully consider the question of reversion to the State. But the first task, he says, is to recast the whole of the conditions of tho tenure of land, and put them on a better business footing. Tho "Nation," when announcing Mr. Lloyd-George's plans a few days ago, foreshadowed the basis of the Liberal policy, which, it said, would bo a minimum wage.
