REPORT OF LORD ALVERSTONE'S RESIGNATION. By Tolejraph—Press Association—Copyright London, August 14. The Prime Minister, Mr. Asquith, speaking in. the House of Commons, eaid ho had not heard of Lord Alverstone'e resignation of the Lord Chief Justiceship. The latest information was that Lord Alvorstone hoped to soon lesumo his duties on the Bench. (Rec. August 15, 9.30 p.m.) London, August 15. It is stated that Lord Alverstone'B resignation is conditional upon his health not improving beforo the end of tho long vacation.
