SCUFFLE IN FACTORY.
THE JUNIOR AND IIIS KNIFE,
(By Mcgreph—Press Afsociation.) Invcrcargill, August 15. At tho Juvenile Court to-day, Arthur Jos. Simpson, agod 15, was charged with wounding James Blackmoro so as to causo serious bodily harm. The two youths were employed Smith's woodwans factory- On July 20 Blookmoro stated that it was Simpson's duty to assst another employee named Wells, and on the occasion wlieil tlio injurv was inflicted ho refused to do so when "ordered by witness. Witness caught, hold of Simpson by tlio back of tlio neck and pushed him towards Wells. Astused resisted, and poked a Unite (which he had in his hand) into witness's back. Witness subsequently walked to the hospital, where lie was laid _t' p tor a tortnig'ht. The evidence of Simpwn was lo the effect that thoro was a scuffle, when ho had a knifo in his hand, and he was not awn.ro that 1.0 had out Blackmoro until tho latter raid eo. The evidence of other witnesses was that there had been a scuffle, one apprentice, named Fox, stating that Blackmoro had told him that tlio allnir had bwvi an Thv caso was adjourned until to-morrow.
