(From Our Special Correspondent.) ' Au ■ enjoyable dance was held in St. Augustine's Hall last uipht Ijy the members of the' Saturday Recreation Society. About 40 couples attended. Air. Harold Stewart officiated as M.C., Mrs. I'olloek .supplied the music, and extras were played l>y the Misses Arnold and Hepburn. It is understood that this newly-formed society intends to hold these gatherings more frequently. . • The Peto'ne Borough Council (in committee) selected' Mr. J. JCpsbitt, out of 14 applicants, for the position, of borough foreman. Skating is very popular at the Hutt Rink for tho reason that the skaters are well catered' for with new steps and good music. These are fresh novelties every week and good prizes are always awarded. On Thursday night a boys' hockey match will be played betweeii teams representing Olynipia. and Hutt. The teams will be entertained afterwards at supper. On Saturday the band will be in attendance for the benefit of .natrons. Last nipht a largo number enjoyed themselves immensely.
