TSpecially Written for Ths Dominion.] WEDNESDAY. White Soup. Minco and Potato Pie. Potatoes. Steamed Cabinet Pudding. WHITE SOUP. Two pounds potatoos, 2 onion?, halfhead celory,. 1 pint milk, 1 tablespoon Hour, 1 parsnip, 1 turnip, 1 dessertspoon salt, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon sugar, croutons. Wash and dry tho vegetables, pcol and cut up, roughly; make tho butter hot in an enamelled saucopan; add tlio vegetables, and stir until they steam; add the sugar, salt, and water, and boil gently 1 hour; rub .through a sieve or colander; return to the saucepan with the niilk; blend tho flour 'wilk a. little cold water, and add to the soup, stirring, all tho time; boil live minutes till it thickens, still stirring; season with salt and cayenne to taste, and serve with croutons of fried bread.
