A return wns submitted to the House of Representatives yesterday which showed that since 1002 there havo been held in the Dominion 110 fewer than seventysix commissions at a total cost to the country of .£02,145 10s. lid. A great number of the commissions wero s-mall in extent, and cast, and some, dealing with borough matters, involved tho country in no charge <\t all.
