In the international light-weight championship contest Matt Wells (England) defeated Hugliie llebegan at tho Stadium on points. The match was witnessed by enormous crowds. It was a great contest; the Englishman's scienco asserted itself early, and served him well 'throughout, and in spito of tho Australian's gameness and hard hitting kept the issue beyond doubt.
