(From Our Special Correspondent.) 9 The young people's branch' of the Petone Q'orpa of tho Salvation Army gave their quarterly demonstration in tho local hall yesterday afternoon. Fifty-five children rendered a programme of solos, eto., t'he eong "Tho General" being a spoci.il item. Miss Elais Crawford (aged' 4) also eang a solo. A capital collection resulted, in aid of the prize fund. Every scholar is to receive a prize. The Petoine Municipal Band, under Lieut. Herd, jflaycd a programme of imisic yesterday afternoon, a largo crowd assembling ou t.lto Uecieation Grounds to listen. The collection, however, only amounted to X 2 H«.
