WINCH WORKER HURT. Edward 1 Heclia is. at present in tl'ie Publio Hospital suffering from the results of a mishap on the steamer Hawera. Hecha \ras working at tlio winch ycsteiday wlicn something went wrong, and he received a severo blow on t'ho shoulder. Olio of his feet, also, was injured. OSLD MAN FOUND DEAD. Gisborno, August 5. ■ John Parker, aged G9, who was married last month, was found dead at the Makaraka Railway Station to-night. No details arc available. CAUGHT BY REVOLVING SAW. Christchurch, August 5. A man named Clnnd Binson, working on a farai near Kniapoi,. was caught in a circular saw to-day. His right leg was mangled and torn, and the left ankle fractured.
