Harry Hawker, an Australian, while flying in a Sopwith waterplane, greeted tlieir Majesties the King and Queen, who were on the Hoyal yacht Victoria and Albert. Tlio King, who Jiad been watching the ovolutions through a telescope, called the Queen and Princess Mary. to join him on the bridge. Mr. Hawker twice alighted in the water and roso therefrom easily. lie performed several nir tricks, including a final curtsey, and then led the Royal procession into the roads.
Tho Admiralty has since then acquired the wateirplauo.
