By TeSeeraijli—Press Association—CoDrrlslit London, August 1. Regarding the disappearance cf Iho pearl iiocklf.ce, valued at .£150,000, consigned from Paris to Hat ton. Gardens, tho "Daily Telegraph's" Paris correspondent states tiiat the magistrates and police continued to oross-quostion Mr. Salomon, tho consignor of the necklace, for hours. They ■endeavoured to trap him several times. The authorities refuse to admit the possibility of the Paris Registered Letter Department being guilty. The newspaper "Matin" states that Mr. Prince, representing Lloyds, offered a Parisian barrister «£OO,OOO to find the necklace. Tho barrister visited Mr. Salomon, and offea-id him ,£29,000. Salomon -was indignant, and informed the police. ■ Mr. Mayer, the oivneir of tho necklace, states that ho lias known Salomon for twenty years, and that tho suspicious as to his honesty are absolutely untenable. The wholesale trade in Paris agrees that Mr. Salomon is above suspicion. English detectives' are of opinion that the robbery tcok place during tho two hours tho parcel was lying in the Paris Post Office. (Eec. August 5, 11.15 p.m.) Paris, August 5.
