The "Nation" states that tho report of the Committee of Inquiry regarding tho land system is practically complete. Mr. Lloyd-George (Chancollor of tho Exchequer) will open hia campaign in September noxt. It is thought that Mr. Asquith (tho Prime Minister) will forward it. Tho basis of tho Liberal policy, it is said, will bo a minimum wage, and the crux will be tho giving of tho farmer the means of recouping himself by ail adjustment of rent and security of tenure. This would bo impossible without the State's assistance.
