DECISION OF N.Z. SHIPPING CO. A rather important letter was read ye# kirday afternoon at tho meeting of the WoLlingte.u Chamber of Commerce from Sir. A. Wilson, of London, 'ItnlDo agent to the Hull and Barnslry Railway, who recently cum© to New Zealand ns special commissioner to arrange for tho shipping of goods for tho North of England to Hull instead of to ljondon as at present. He wrote to tho effect that tho Juwv Zealand Shipping Cmpany had, advised their branch 111 New Zealand to arrange to load steamers to Hull next season, but that Messrs. Shaw, Savill, an<l Albion Co. luad not yot come to a definito decision, though they wore discussing tho matter with tho New Zealand Shipping Co., and would mako a definite statement beforo long regardiing their intentions. Mr. Wilson added tliat lie was already assured of a. good quantity of cargo outwards as eoon as tho boats commenced loading from Hull, and hoped the Wellington Chamber of Commcrco would generally advise merchants of tho intentions of tho shipping companies k> tliat they could mako arrangements to ship via Hull for the North of England towns.

Tlio chairman (Mr. C. W. Jones) remarked that if the newspapers published ,th,o lettmr it would fulfil tho purpose aimed at.
