CLERGYMAN KILLED.
MOTOR-CYCLE AND GIG COLLIDE,
(By Telegraph—Frees Association.) Napier, August 4. To-night at about dußk tho Rev. W. 11, M. Coclierill, vicar of Waipawa, was returning homo 011 a motor-cyclo when lie collided with a house and gig. Ho was removed from beneath tho horse's feot to the roadside, and as it was lipparent that ho was in urgent noed of medical attention a motor-car was procured a 11c ho was removed to the County Hospital, wherq ho expired shortly afterwards. An examination showed that ono shaft of tho ?v? 1 • P enol;ra,x? d his face, lacerating tho train, was only recently appointed vicar of Waipawa.
