A LONG-EXPECTED LIST.
PUBLIC SERVICE CLASSIFICATION.
On inquiry at the offioe of the Public Service Commissioner' (Mr. D. Robertson) on Saturday, a Dominion reporter was informed that the long and anxiouslyawaited Public Servico classification list would bo ready during the present week. A body which has awaited the preparation of the list with urtusirfl interest is tho Civil Service Association, winch has taken a now lease of life since tho aj>pointment of the Public Service Commissioners. This association* decided to hold a Dominion conference about a month ago, hoping that the classification list would be ready for scrutiny by then, but as it was not, the conference was postponed until a date to bo fixed after tho list was available. It is understood, now it! is definitely known that the list will bo available m a (lay or two, that the jonference will meet about the middle of August. . • ■ •
