AUSTRALIA AND CANADA.
RECIPROCITY PROPOSALS. By Telegraph—Presa Association—Copyright Sydney, August 1. Negotiations regarding reciprocity between Canada and 1 Australia have been resumed. Mr. Ross, Canadian Trade Commissioner in Australia, has submitted proposals. Nothing has besn settled, but Mr. Ross is optimistic.
The Sydney Chamber of Commerce, in its annual report, draws attention to the necessity for reciprocity with Canada, and points out that the matter is serious for Australian traders, as the wholo of the butter trade may bo lost to Australia.
