MR. S. R. LANCASTER'S KALE. The animal sale of dairy stock offered on account of Mr. S. 11. Lancaster, was conducted by Messrs. Lalgety- and Co. and tho N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., in conjunction, on Tuesday and Wednesday, -nt the homestead, Fitzherhert, Palmers-ton North. A representative gathering of local and outside buyers was present, and a very satisfactory sale resulted. Cow« in milk sold Tin to £15 155., the line of 55 averaging £10 4?.; grade Jersey and Jer«cy-crosa spriwrors sold up to £20, tho line of 145 averaging £10 lis. Bd.: grade llolsteins and Uolstciii'cross.cows sold up to £15. tho lino averaging £8 15s. 7d.; springing heifers also up to £11 15.-., the lino averaging £7 16s. Id. Pedigree Jersey bulls sold up to 30 guineas. Time did not permit to offer the Shorthorn cow?, and these, together with some choice Jersey and Shorthorn heifers, will be ottered at a subsequent eale in about three weeks' time.
