TO-DAY'S DINNER.
[Specially Written for The Dominion.] THURSDAY. .Artichoke Soup. Roast. Shoulder of Mutton. Baked Potatoes. Spinach. Boiled Date Pudding. Sweet Sauce. ARTICHCiKE SOTJP. One pint milk, 1 pint stock, ljlb. artichokes (neighed when peeled), loz. flour, loz. butter, salt end cayenno pepper to taste. Peel the artichokes and then weigh them; cut them in thin slices and boil in >the stock until tender. Put them through a sieve and return lo the saucepan. Soften tlio bnttcr a little, mix it to a smooth paste with iionr, odd the milk to tho soup, then the paste, brinjr it to tho boil, and boil five minutes, stirring all tho time, add seasoning to taste, and serve. A tablcsiioon of cream makes this soup very nice. FOR TO-MORROW. 1 Stock. Vegetables. Two dozen Oysters. One Tomato. Curry Powder. Suet. Jam. Defiance Butter. All Grocers*
