JUS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. "Quo Yadisr" at liis Majesty's Theatre continues to attract enough people to -fill the spacious building. TIIE KING'S THEATRE. "Nigger Jim" is the title of tho feature item at the King's Theatre this week. A talc of the racecourse, it will apical especially to those who "follow tho horses and to tho?e who read Mr. Nat Goulds novels. "'Harnessing a Horse' is one of the best comedies that have been screened at this theatre for some time and the "Dances of the Ages," one of the most interesting. So, with these two items included the programme may bo said to be a success.

THE EMPRESS THEATRE. In the now programme of the Empress Thcatro Continuous Picture* to bo introduced to-day and to-night there will ho two "feature" dramas, "David Garrick and n sensational A.B. adventure, ihe Switch Tower." The former is a story of tho regard of a pretty girl for the lflinous actor. The father tries a ruse to cure his daugter of her admiration for Garrick, hut the .scheme fails. The Edison Company will be represented by ' Tho High Tide of Misfortune" (drama), and among others there will be a laughablo A.B. farce-comedy "Just Kids/' SHORTTS' PICTURES. A presentation from Shakespeare's immortal "Merchant of Venice," under tho title of "Shylock" has been well patroni<cd at Messrs. Shortts' Theatre. The Unit Skating Kink lias been well patronised lately, and a crowd is anticipated to-night, when the "Wellington representatives will play the. Hutt team at Hockey. On Saturday ovening there will be a sliding competition for couples. ROYAL CHOEAL SOCIETY.

In the Town Hall to-morrow night llavdn's "The Creation", will be porrormed "by the lloyat. Wellington Choral Society, under tile baton of Mr. Christian llelleinaiui, with a chorus and orchestra of 340 performers. The filial reheatsal will talc*.' place to-night at 7.30, in tho Town Hall. The soloists, engaged arc .Madame Jlary L'oniy, tho distinguished English soprano; Mr. Sidney Butler, tenor; and Mr. John l'rouso, bass. Madame Conly lias already made a high place for herself in the Old' Country. Writing of a concert'given in Dublin in March, the "Irish News" said:—"The artists were Madame Kil'kby Ltinn, Mr, lien Davies, and Madame Conly. Hie crowning success of the evening was undoubtedly achieved by Madame ' Mary Conly, an Australian soprano, who lias been enthusiastically received in London. Her voice possesses a sweetness and purity rarely found 011 the concert stage, and she 'litis also a genuine artistic perception, which made her rendering ol the various airs really beautiful."- The box plan will domain open the Dresden till o'clock to-morrow, and 4s. and 3s. seats can be reserved.
