CO-OPERATIVE ASSURANCE.
The second anniversary of tho incorporation of the C'o-operativo Assurance Company, Ltd, of l(i Hunter Street, Sydney, was celebrated on July 11, at a staff gathering in' tho board room, tho chairman of directors (Mr. G. Mason Allard, F.C.I 1 .A.) presiding. Ho was supported by tho 'managing director (Mr. James S. Inch) and Mr. J. T. Ralston, director, and nbnnt seventy members of tho staff. The chairman referred to tho occasion of the meeting, and briefly dealt with tho progress of the company. The good ,work of several superintendents, who had established gcod records in their separate divisions, was suitably recognised. Mr. Inch mentioned tho improvement in tile insuranco departments shown by comparison with tho first year's return, and instanced tho success of the new branch just established in South Australia. The field representatives who had completed twelve months' scrvico were introduced to tho chairman. , Departmental managers referred to the work of the section of tho company's business under that charge, and mention was made of a competition to run for the September quarter, which will close tho second year of tho company's business operations. Members of the agency staff responded, and that enthusiastic spirit prevailed through the meeiing which is typical of (lie interest of all co-operativo workers in the welfare of their company. The sentiments of two of tho company's advisors wore expressed by Mr. T.'IV. Bremner, consulting actuary, Mr. AV. M. Vindin, solicitor, and Mr. .T. Cole H<l wards responded for the insurance press.
